Zooki energising smoothie

This energising smoothie will give you the zest for life you need to power through your day. Watermelon and strawberries are both mild in flavour and they don’t compete with each other, so you get the best of both worlds when you combine them together.

Banana adds some natural sweetness into the mix and lime naturally complements watermelon, so you can add a squeeze if you want a slightly tangier taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh watermelon, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup pineapple or mango
  • 1/2 banana, peeled & frozen, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup almond milk, or other non-dairy milk
  • 1 Medjool date, pitted
  • 1 sachet of Watermelon Vitamin C Zooki
  • Lime (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend until very smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and serve right away for the best texture.

Why are the ingredients so beneficial?

Watermelon

Watermelon’s high water content helps to support circulation, skin health and digestion. Water also works to regulate body temperature, organ and joint function, metabolism, appetite, waste elimination and mental performance, making hydration essential for optimal energy levels. It also contains other important nutrients, such as lycopene and vitamin C, that aid in collagen formation.

Strawberries

Strawberries are quite high in dietary fibre. And fibre helps to keep you feeling full for longer and balance blood sugar levels, preventing unwanted energy dips. They also contain a great source of simple carbohydrates, which can be quickly turned into energy. They are rich in vitamin C and manganese, as well as plant compound antioxidants, which also have heart health and blood sugar control benefits.

Bananas

Bananas are a great food for sustained energy. They are an excellent source of complex carbohydrates, potassium, and vitamin B6, all of which can help boost your energy levels. While bananas are a good natural source of sugar, they are also rich in fibres that help slow the digestion of that sugar.

Dates

Dates contain many essential micronutrients, including calcium, potassium, magnesium, and B vitamins, making them a great food for supporting energy levels. They are also a good source of natural sugars and fibre which, when combined, further help to support sustained energy and balance blood sugar levels.

Watermelon Vitamin C Zooki

Watermelon-flavoured Vitamin C Zooki supports your immune system, energy levels, skin health and psychological function. The delicious watermelon flavour adds a tasty burst of flavour and a healthy daily dose of vitamin C.
